Listing and Price Rules
Merilin Yemek – LISTING AND PRICE RULES
Version: 1.0.0 | Effective: October 20, 2026
SUMMARY (for information only; the binding text is the clauses below)
• This page is an annex to the Seller Service Agreement. Before publishing your first listing, these rules are presented to you and your acceptance is recorded; every listing must comply with them.
• The struck-through "previous price" is the lowest price in the last 10 days for goods. Raising the price first and then showing a discount is prohibited. You must be able to prove your price history.
• Listing food past its Use-By Date is strictly prohibited. Discounted/opportunity listings for alcoholic drinks and tobacco products cannot be published.
• The price and terms stated in the listing apply exactly as stated at the till. When the product runs out or a campaign ends, deactivate, remove or update the listing immediately.
• A non-compliant listing is first notified to you for correction (as a rule with at least 3 business days); in serious breaches such as misleading prices, Use-By-expired or prohibited products the listing may be removed immediately. Sanctions under Clause 11 of the Seller Agreement are graduated and proportionate.
1. SCOPE, BINDING NATURE AND DEFINITIONS
1.1. These Listing and Price Rules ("Rules") apply to all Sellers publishing listings on the Merilin Yemek Platform and are an integral annex to the Seller Service Agreement. The detail of the headline rules in Clause 8 of the Terms of Use is on this page.
1.2. The Rules are presented to the Seller before the first listing is published and acceptance is recorded with version information; without acceptance, no listing may be published. The current version is accessible at all times from the Seller account and the web page. Changes to the Rules are announced and take effect under Clause 13 of the Seller Agreement.
1.3. In case of conflict between these Rules and the Seller Agreement or the Terms of Use, on listing and price matters these Rules apply; mandatory provisions of legislation for consumers are in any case reserved.
1.4. Definitions: "Listing" is the Seller's publication containing product, price, discount, quantity, date and conditions. "Previous Price" is the price applied before the discount and calculated under Clause 4. "Discounted Price" is the price the Buyer will pay during the campaign period. "Campaign" is a discount announcement limited to specific dates and conditions. "Use-By Date" means the final consumption date (STT); "Best-Before Date" means the recommended consumption date (TETT).
2. CREATING A LISTING – MANDATORY INFORMATION
2.1. Every listing contains the following information accurately and completely: (a) a heading clearly stating the product name and what it is; (b) the unit and any pack/content quantity (in the title or listing description); (c) the previous price and discounted price if any; (d) the campaign start and end date and time (validity period); (e) a quantity limit if limited (in the title or listing description); (f) terms of use if any (in the title or listing description).
2.2. Information that is untrue, incomplete or misleading in a way that could distort the average consumer's economic behaviour may not be given in a listing; material information may not be concealed or passed over with ambiguous wording.
2.3. If the product is not actually offered, has run out or the listing terms cannot be applied in the shop, the listing cannot be published; if published, it is deactivated or removed immediately.
2.4. Multiple active listings with conflicting prices or terms for the same product in the same period cannot be published.
3. PRICE DISPLAY – GENERAL RULES
3.1. All prices shown are in Turkish Lira and are the total price including taxes. If there is an additional amount the Buyer must pay (service, service charge, packaging etc.), it cannot be demanded unless separately and clearly shown in the listing.
3.2. For products where unit price display is mandatory under legislation, the unit price is also stated in accordance with legislation alongside the sale price (in the listing title or description).
3.3. If the price in the listing differs from the price at the till, the provision of the legislation in favour of the consumer applies for consumers; the seller cannot demand a higher price at the till than the listing price.
3.4. Prices cannot be shown in a way that creates a misleading impression (e.g. additional conditions in unreadably small print, hidden minimum thresholds).
3.5. Expressions such as "free of charge", "free", "TRY 0" may only be used if the product is genuinely offered without any payment; if free use is conditional, the condition is explained in the listing with the same prominence.
4. DISCOUNT AND PREVIOUS PRICE
4.1. For goods, the price before discount is the lowest price applied to that product in the 10 days before the discount start date. The price shown struck through is only this price.
4.2. For perishable goods such as fruit and vegetables and for services, the discount amount and rate are calculated according to the price applied immediately before the discounted price.
4.3. Artificially raising the price first and then showing a discount, showing a price that was never actually applied as the previous price, and advertising a non-existent discount rate are prohibited.
4.4. Example 1 (correct): If the product was sold at a lowest price of TRY 100 in the last 10 days, the previous price is TRY 100; a reduction to TRY 80 may be shown as a "20% discount".
4.5. Example 2 (incorrect): If the product was TRY 100 for the whole of the last 10 days and is raised to TRY 150 one day before the listing and shown as "33% off from TRY 150 to TRY 100", this is prohibited; the valid previous price for this product is TRY 100 and no discount claim can be made.
4.6. Example 3 (perishable goods): For perishable goods whose price changes daily, the discount is calculated according to the price immediately before the discount; however, that price must also have been genuinely applied and recorded.
4.7. In a discount announcement, the previous price, discounted price, discount rate if any, and the campaign start and end dates are shown together and with the same prominence.
4.8. The burden of proof for prices lies with the Seller. The Seller keeps price history records proving the previous price (price lists, till/POS records, invoices etc.) and presents them when requested by the Service Provider or a competent authority. These records are kept at least for the relevant campaign period and the audit periods prescribed by legislation.
4.9. If no price has been applied to the product in the last 10 days (new product), no discount claim can be made by showing a previous price. Since every listing on the Platform shows a previous price, a new product cannot be published as a discount listing before a genuine price has been applied; the product is first sold at its real sale price and may be discount-listed once a price history exists.
5. CAMPAIGN CONDITIONS
5.1. For every campaign, the start and end dates, the shop(s) where it is valid, a daily/total quantity limit if any, and the terms of use are announced in advance and clearly.
5.2. Conditions cannot be changed to the Buyer's detriment before the campaign period expires; the product running out is subject to Clause 10.2.
5.3. Expressions such as "last X items", "only today", "while stocks last" may only be used if true; the urgency created cannot be fake.
5.4. If the campaign is conditional on a certain purchase amount, purchase together with a certain product or similar, the condition is written in the main text of the listing with the same prominence.
6. FOOD SAFETY AND DATES
6.1. Listing and selling food past its Use-By Date is strictly prohibited. Breach of this prohibition is a serious breach; the listing is removed immediately and Clause 11 of the Seller Agreement applies.
6.2. Products past their Best-Before Date may only be listed if all of the following conditions are met: (a) food safety conditions (proper storage, no signs of spoilage) are met; (b) the fact that the Best-Before Date has passed is stated to the Buyer clearly in the listing title or description and visible information is also given in the shop; (c) these products are offered separately from other products in the shop. If any condition is absent, Best-Before-expired products cannot be listed either.
6.3. The Seller is responsible for complying with food safety, hygiene, cold/hot chain, production and sale permits, food business registration/approval obligations (including keeping a QR code at the workplace) and staff hygiene rules.
6.4. Products that have been recalled, withdrawn or whose sale has been stopped by a competent authority cannot be listed; if listed, they are removed as soon as this is learned and Buyers are informed in the shop.
6.5. In the listing, important storage conditions required by the nature of the product (keep refrigerated, consume on the same day etc.) are stated in the listing title or description.
7. PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED PRODUCTS
7.1. The following cannot be listed on the Platform: (a) food past its Use-By Date; (b) Best-Before-expired products not meeting the conditions of Clause 6.2; (c) smuggled, counterfeit or imitation products; (d) recalled/withdrawn products; (e) products whose sale is prohibited or subject to special permission and for which the Seller has no permission; (f) products established by a competent authority decision to be harmful to human health; (g) food produced contrary to legislation or bearing non-compliant labelling.
7.2. Advertising, promotion, incentivising campaigns and discount announcements for alcoholic drinks and tobacco products are prohibited; discounted/opportunity listings for these products cannot be published. The presence of these products other than discounted cannot be shown in the Platform's opportunity/listing model either.
7.3. For products subject to age limits or special presentation rules, the Seller must comply with the relevant legislation in the in-shop sale and presentation; the Platform does not provide ordering or delivery for these products.
7.4. The Service Provider may update the prohibited/restricted product list in case of legislative change or competent authority decision. The update is announced to the Seller under the procedure in Clause 13 of the Seller Agreement; prohibitions arising from legislation or an authority decision apply immediately on the announcement date.
8. ALLERGEN AND LABELLING INFORMATION
8.1. For products containing allergens, the allergen information mandatory under legislation is presented, where ingredient information is given in the listing, in the listing title or description, and in any case in a way visible to the Buyer in the shop. Content, ingredient or nutritional information shown in the listing is accurate and consistent with the product label.
8.2. Information in the listing cannot contradict the mandatory information on the product label; in case of contradiction, accurate information is given to the Buyer in the shop and the listing is corrected immediately. Until a contradiction in material information such as allergens or price is resolved, the listing is deactivated.
8.3. Health/property claims such as "gluten-free", "sugar-free", "organic", "homemade" — including the Platform's dietary tags (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free etc.) — may only be used if true, provable and compliant with legislation; no claim of treating or preventing disease may be made.
9. IMAGE, HEADING, BRAND AND CONTENT RULES
9.1. The logo and cover images on the shop profile accurately represent the business and the products offered; images belonging to another business or product, stock or misleading images cannot be used. No misleading price or title may appear on the image.
9.2. Another business's brand or title cannot be used without permission in the heading and description; comparative statements are made only if true and provable.
9.3. Content contrary to law or public morality, discriminatory, degrading or infringing third-party rights cannot be included in a listing.
9.4. Personal contact information cannot be prominently included in the listing text for the purpose of moving the transaction off the Platform; the shop's publicly available contact information is kept in the profile information.
10. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY, VALIDITY AND UPDATING
10.1. The Seller is responsible for the listing price, validity period and product availability being current. When a campaign ends, the product runs out or conditions change, it updates, deactivates or removes the listing without delay.
10.2. If it is learned that the product is exhausted while the listing is published, the listing is deactivated immediately. If, despite reasonable preparation and care, the product cannot be offered to a Buyer who comes to the shop, the situation is politely explained; the repetition criterion in Clause 14.4 is reserved.
10.3. A listing whose period has expired may automatically be removed from publication; extension of the period is possible with the Seller's confirmation of current price and product availability.
11. CASHIER CODE AND IN-SHOP APPLICATION
11.1. Listing conditions apply to a Buyer presenting a valid code or showing a valid confirmation screen; the discount may be withheld only for the reasons listed in Clause 4.6.4 of the Terms of Use, explaining the reason to the Buyer.
11.2. When using the code or confirmation screen, the discounted price in the listing applies; a different price, additional fee or condition not in the listing cannot be put forward at the till.
11.3. Shop staff are informed about code and QR application; staff not being aware cannot be made a ground for refusing a valid code or confirmation screen.
12. SPONSORED CONTENT AND RANKING INTEGRITY
12.1. Shops and listings promoted for a fee or other consideration are shown only in areas marked "Sponsored"; organic ranking cannot be secretly changed in return for payment.
12.2. The Seller cannot resort to deceptive methods to affect ranking, such as fake listings, fake interaction, misleading category/tag selection or similar.
12.3. Categories and tags are selected according to the product's real nature; using unrelated popular tags is a misleading practice.
13. PROHIBITED MISLEADING PRACTICES
13.1. The following practices are prohibited: (a) claiming a discount from a previous price that was never actually applied; (b) creating urgency or time pressure that does not actually exist (for example a "last items" claim for a product that has not run out); (c) concealing the condition of a "free of charge/free" claim; (d) applying one price in the listing and another at the till; (e) unfounded comparison about a competitor or product; (f) concealing a material condition in an unreadable way; (g) presenting a date-expired product as if not expired or concealing the date information.
13.2. Whether a practice is misleading is assessed on the basis of the average consumer's perception; the Seller's intention does not change the outcome.
14. AUDIT, CORRECTION AND SANCTIONS
14.1. The Service Provider may examine listings upon complaint, notification or risk-based audit. Examination does not create a general prior-audit obligation.
14.2. For correctable breaches, the Seller is notified of the breach and given as a rule at least 3 business days for correction; a listing not corrected in time may be removed from publication.
14.3. In serious breaches (misleading price, Use-By-expired product, prohibited product, fake content), the listing may be removed immediately without waiting for a defence period; the reason is notified to the Seller without delay and the explanation and objection rights in Clause 11.2 of the Seller Agreement are reserved.
14.4. In repeated breaches, the graduated sanctions in Clause 11.3 of the Seller Agreement (warning, listing removal, visibility restriction, listing suspension, suspension, termination) are applied proportionately; no disproportionate repeat sanction is applied for the same act.
14.5. The Seller may object to a correction/removal decision regarding a listing via the Internal Communication System (until the system is launched, from its registered e-mail address under the interim rule in Clause 8.1 of the Seller Agreement); the objection is concluded within the period in Clause 8.2 of the Seller Agreement.
15. PROOF RECORDS AND RETENTION
15.1. The Seller keeps records proving price history, campaign conditions, product availability and date (Use-By/Best-Before) information in a verifiable manner and for the periods in Clause 4.8.
15.2. Records are presented without delay upon request by the Service Provider, consumer arbitration board/court or competent authorities.
15.3. The record-keeping obligation is subject, for personal data, to the Privacy Policy and the purpose limitation and retention principles in the KVKK.
16. CHANGES TO THE RULES AND ENTRY INTO FORCE
16.1. These Rules are updated in accordance with the periods and notification principles in Clause 13 of the Seller Agreement; rule changes are notified to the Seller via registered e-mail (and additionally via the Internal Communication System once launched) and by in-app announcement. Previous versions are stored in the Service Provider's systems and provided to the Seller upon request.
16.2. In urgent updates required by legislation, statutory periods apply; the Seller is informed without delay. The Seller brings its published listings into compliance with the new rule; listings not made compliant may be removed from publication.
16.3. This version enters into force on October 20, 2026; previous versions are replaced by this version on listing matters.
